Povilon Max Surgical Scrub 7.5% Povidone-Iodine Antiseptic, Non-Sterile Cleanser
Product Description
Povilon Max Surgical Scrub is a foaming antiseptic cleanser containing 7.5% povidone-iodine.
Its active ingredient, povidone-iodine, has broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity and is effective against a wide range of pathogens in vitro.
Purposes of Use
● Preoperative skin preparation
● Surgical hand antisepsis
● Daily hand hygiene practices
Helps reduce the bacterial load on the skin and reduce the risk of infection.
Surgical Hand Washing Practice
1. Wet your hands with water.
2. Apply approximately 5 mL of Povilon Max Scrub to your hands and forearms.
3. Thoroughly scrub your hands and under your nails for 2.5–3 minutes without adding water.
4. Add a small amount of water to create a thick lather, then rinse thoroughly with water.
5. Repeat the process using another 5 mL of product.
Antiseptic Hand Wash
1. Wet your hands and apply approximately 5 mL of Povilon Max Scrub.
2. Spread it over all surfaces and rub your hands vigorously for at least 15 seconds.
3. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a disposable towel.
Patient's Skin Cleansing (Pre-Operative)
● It is disposable and helps prevent external contamination.
1. Wet the area to be treated with water.
2. Apply approximately 1 mL of scrub to the affected area (sufficient for a 20–30 square inch area).
3. Cleanse by lathering for 5 minutes.
4. Rinse with gauze moistened with sterile water.
5. If necessary, the area can be painted with 10% Betadine solution and allowed to dry.
